Anyway, the question was probably asked at least once already in ye olden days, but now we have permanent threads to keep track of stuff (progress…) so I figured it was time to ask again. Do your characters have body mods? Tatoos, piercings, plastic surgery of any kind?

Mallory- if he didint have so much going on already with his markings/scales i’d probably consider giving him a tattoo. A piercing would be cool, maybe just ears? No plastic surgery, but if he felt like it could be done without killing him he’d look into some kinda help for his chest vents but that’d be more medical. unfortunately the guy is as broke as a joke so none of this is really in his future, unless its one of the ill-fated purchases that knocked him back down to broke-dom haha
Blaine- None for him. Doesn’t personally interest him in the slightest. When he was just getting into social media he was tempted to get his upper canine teeth filed down to a more normal shape/size but never got around to it. Never smiled big enough for it to be an issue. Would have to be disfigured to consider plastic surgery
Wynn- I…. think no? I think they’d worry too much about infections or something not quite healing right. Edit: They do have a double masectomy, didn’t keep the nips, Happier having nothing there.
Riven- Had spikes growing up at the top of their chest. Got sawed down.
Caveman- If he had a tattoo you’d never know. too much fuzz

Zinni:used to have ear piercings but had to give them up with her ears changin upon evolution. Was considering redoing them but her whole living in a woodsy cabin wouldn’t be the beast for healing
Aster: had a rebelious phase so instead of piercings(those would be hella annoying with electric typing) she got a few tatoos on her arms. Was very annoyed when her limbs got mangled and she lost all the fur hidden art. The other arm, she won’t tell
Hestia: never really got to any, just doing regular spike trims and such. Was considering having the bigger ones removed but she’s too broke for that
Echo: yeah, no, what would be the point. She does have a tiny faded number tatooed in her ear, she can’t remember why tho
Snow: she’s way too squirelly to keep with one thing so she does her fur and hair in different trims and colors instead to take out the artistic energy in her
Zima: what now? Sharpens her claws and plates on big enough rocks and that’s about it
Mori: has her little ear tag. Plus, her “digging around bones”scarring but nothing cosmetic, just purpose or work derived
Aphie: had her tail and some feathering removed as a kid. Her parents tried to declaw her too, but it wasn’t as succesfull and she dipped before they could try at her wings
Nyx: nothing she would do on purpose or for the looks
Sal: apart from the no hand and eye, she finds it useless, being a shapechanger and allthat
Honestly a little surprised he isn’t into that. I mean good for him but also I could totally see him saving up for some plastic surgery (that he doesn’t need, but by definition unless you were in an accident you never need it). I mean look at him.
I also think Caveman definitely has tatoos under the fuzz. My argument is: look at him in the eyes and tell me he doesn’t. Thanks for considering have a nice day.

& Lastly I think Peter would offer to tatoo Luce, if she asked about his (and it’s kinda hard not to ask about his, he’s literally covered in them, yes I’ll get to answering about my guys sometime).
I imagine you meant her ears changed from like, sprigatito to floragato ears, but what immediately came to mind for me was “her ears used to be human”. I think it’s beautiful and in my heart of hearts it’s canon. Sorry.
Also Aster definitely tatooted herself as a teen and they were super cringe, you can’t change my mind.
Think it ties in to his weirdness about scars too. permanent marking, especially somewhere others can see, is not ideal in his brain. and yeah probably lol. He also doesnt know what any of the men in his family looked like either, so it is good to have money saved away too in case of… balding. he shudders at the thought

and ooooo. i know enchiron!peter had tattoos, dont know why my brain didnt make the connection that’d he have had them in eclipse as well. Luce would probably be interested then. not to the extent to be covered in them, but a few yeah definitely. or maybe one prominent one, we’ll see we’ll see
I’ve been meaning to share here, but life just slammed me very hard yesterday.
Cooper mainly had earrings for years before his daughter’s passing, but took them out soon after. Shuseki’s been pestering him about getting a tattoo, but his wings placements make it difficult for him to see any unless they’re on his chest.
Shuseki of course has all of his earrings and Medusa piercing. He also has a tattoo of a lotus on his left forearm he hides under his gloves.
Ryuken doesnt currently have any kind of body mod. Eventually they’ll get a tattoo to help cover some of the scars along their shoulders ans back (I’m currently thinking of either an dragon pokemon like dragonair/dratini or a cat-like pokemon and flowers. Gonna draw it like once)
Regal has a tiny tattoo of his father’s death date on the back of one of his shoulders; whichever one has the vitiligo on it.
Roxas is planning on getting a double mastectomy when he gets the money saved up for it. Shuseki’s gonna ‘force’ him into a couple of piercings sometime soon, just not sure what or how many as of yet.
Evie, hasn’t been submitted as of yet but im still gonna include her, has a tattoo of a Spinarak resting atop of some roses on her right hip.
Thanks I hate it. Gonna have the idea of Zinnia having weird ass bald cat ears as a kid now. they deffo would be very human like, so she’d be seen as hw much later on with the short bobtail
And yes, Aster definitelly did. Nobody will ever see the proof of it, not while she’s alive and kicking enough to keep her fur on

Has her ears pierced. I’m torn on tatoos. She does seem like the type, but I have A LOT of characters that are the type and I don’t like this lol. NOT ALL OF YOU CAN GET TATOOS!!! I want to say she got at least one, something about her home land of Hoenn. It was on her ankle, but it became invisible when her skin darkened. She’s mad about it, a stark reminder that SOMETHING IS HAPPENING TO HER and she doesn’t like it.
Benji
Lost his arm in an “accident”, obviously didn’t choose. He’s still definitely not over it tho.
I think it would be really cute if he got his little cow-cow ears pierced and he is 200000% the type to get a cheesy “mom inside a heart” tatoo. Just that one, somewhere, under all the fur. I think he should get that, some day, after it’s all over.
Isabelle
Definitely has a few tatoos, I think she would really value tatooing as a form of artistic expression and as a way to remember important events and people. They’re not very big and easy to hide (she’s a school teacher), but all deeply personal. On the other hand, she doesn’t have her ears pierced.

Nothing, and no interest.
Agathe
Has her ears pierced (probably multiple times), is ALSO the type to get tatoos. Like damn I really need to find time to design these stupid things for like half my characters, apparently.

He gave himself those shitfucked scars on his face and arms.
He is covered in colorful, Xatu-esque tatoos from neck to toes.
And I know it’s not in any way realistic but trust me, he’s kind of just like this. Cygnus kid. Very smart. A genius, but only for all the wrong things. Trust. He gave himself his double masectomy.

Obviously the scars are from another “accident”. I love those. And the one on his face is from Peter.
I will say tho, he used to have a tail. Cas still has hers, his was removed.
It was done for his comfort, technically. It’s a relatively common/routine surgery for alters. His tail especially, because it was a delfi/absol tail, was rigid and very unpractical (it prevented him from sitting normally). There was talk of cutting it off as soon as he was born, but while she was alive, his mom opposed getting it removed, arguing that he’d get to choose if he wanted it or not as an adult. But then she died, and he more or less fell in the “care” of his uncle, who saw fit to have it done. He “consented” to it, but he was also like, 12.
To this day, he’s conflicted about it. On the one hand, yeah it definitely got in the way, and he kind of refuses to acknowledge that his body was violated when he was too young to properly consent (that’s kind of his thing), so he’s like. It’s whatever. It’s fine. It had to be done. On the other hand, he really ressents it because it makes him look less altered, like he’s already such a low level alter, it’s hard having a master race delusion when you’re on the lower end of that spectrum (it’s hard and no one understands).

Sapree - obviously missing a leg from birth. wears an uncomfortable-ass prosthetic. she’s old, she had a wild phase in college, she pierced her own ears with a hot needle and that’s the most she ever did. and then they healed over. she doesn’t want anyone from the outside world getting too close to her body, stealth alter things, but she is open to the possibility of getting a better leg…
Osk - does estrogen count as a body modification? she hasn’t had any surgeries but she’s been on HRT since she was like 10. she is ultimately, like, a fake punk and total sheltered kid, though. her ears aren’t even pierced. she is the type to get drunk and get a tramp stamp, but she’s afraid that it’ll hurt too much
Cianán - does being a mechanical- ok, bit over. no, he doesn’t care at all. you could convince him to get I LOVE MY MOMMY engraved in his arm with like 2 seconds of prompting, because he’s kind of stupid.

Cadence - She’s got quite a few piercings on her ears! She likes shiny things, so decorating herself in places it won’t get in the way is fun to her. The scars on her face weren’t intentional, but she’s actually got a lot of scarring around her neck from purposely plucking the occasional feather that grows there, though it’s not as common anymore on account of the. Well. The scarring. Probably has a really shitty and embarrassing stick and poke tattoo hidden somewhere that she did herself after running away, but. I haven’t put too much though into yet
Kellen - He also has ear piercings! Just on the lobe though, not like Cadence haha. He’s never been particularly interested in anything, in his mind being a ‘late bloomer’ in regards to his halfwild traits showing up was enough modification in his life. Plus a lot of his focus is on teaching, so he’d worry about his image too much. Atanas would probably try to convince him to get a tattoo because “it’s hot” though.
Atanas - Shockingly, no. The hypocrite. Absolutely tries to convince people he’s got a ‘secret tattoo’ or something like that, but Kellen knows it’s bullshit. Does have a decent amount of scarring and his wings are pretty damaged (with one having been torn off), but none of that was self inflicted, so it doesn’t really count.
I know myself and almost every character I make has earrings haha. I should really give my next trainer tattoos or something… Once I properly settle on an idea
