It’s daylight saving time. You know what that means.
(The one (1) day a year when I draw something other than Alston sexily bleeding out on the floor.)
I’m participating in a yearly challenge where you have to draw a 24 page comic in 23 hours (we have between 1 AM today and 1 AM tomorrow, and since it’s daylight saving, that’s only 23 hours total). To make sure people don’t start early, there’s a theme and a constraint that are revealed when the challenge starts (in about 20 minutes).
No, there’s no prize or anything and nothing to win. I’m doing it out of pure, untainted masochism (like I do most things).
No, I’m not gonna sleep (obviously).
I will be hanging around in VC (if the Jitsi integration works) and sharing WIPs/going insane here. Wish me luck.
After that I’m back on my Eclipse bullshit.

Well, it’s one of those themes.
Theme: Discovering a half-human civilization!
Constraint: A change of time or time zone must play a role in the story.
I guess it’s better than last year (last year the theme was “ocean”, which was awfully vague, to the point it didn’t help at all). I’m not super feeling this one either tho, it’s more specific I guess but not in a way I like. It’s like telling you exactly what has to happen in your comic, it’s more of a story theme than a theme theme? Idk, I don’t like it, and as always when I don’t like a theme I’m going to have to subvert it at least somewhat.
I think I have a vague idea of what I’m gonna do, but it’s gonna be a challenging one to draw and I hate it. Thanks.
I’m gonna start by going on a walk and buying some cheese.

Well it’s. Ambitious (looking at 30+ pages). Better start drawing.

Update: I think I regret everything.
Yaaaay! Alston bleeding out time!
God I started something quite ambitious and OF COURSE NOW I FEEL SICK.
Chat, chat should I aim for 48 pages.
It’s done.
Honestly not my proudest work, idk if I’ll bother translating it, but at least I did done it.
Now I’m gonna feel empty for a couple of hours, and then go back to drawing yaoi.
